Poongwon Precision has been focusing on the development of display key materials using foil metal processing technology since the establishment in 1996. As the speed of display technology changes is getting faster, the importance of material parts is becoming bigger. The reason why Poongwon Precision is recently attracting great attention in the market is that we are developing, mass-producing, and supplying OMM (Open Metal Masks) and Metal Foils, which are key materials of OLED (Organic Light-emitting Diode) manufacturing process, purely with domestic technologies.
Especially in 2017, we succeeded in the development of the mobile FMM (Fine Metal Mask) that uses metal foil thinner than paper. Since then, we have been actively targeting the FMM market, which is a high value-added business area monopolized by Japanese companies.

Myeonghun, Yu, the President, who majored in Polymer Synthesis in graduate school, established Poongwon Precision with his father in 1996 when he was learning the family business at Poongwon Chemicals, which was run by his father.
